Common questions
When does Sikakoraa take the 10%?
Only from the deposit. When you accept a booking, the customer pays a deposit through Sikakoraa. Our fee is 10% of the job price, and it comes out of that deposit. Once the job is confirmed done, the rest of the deposit goes out in the next daily payout to your M-Pesa or bank account, one transfer a day for all your jobs. The customer pays you the balance directly. On a Ksh 1,000.00 job with a Ksh 400.00 deposit, the fee is Ksh 100.00, you get Ksh 300.00 paid out, and the customer pays you Ksh 600.00 after the job.
Is there a monthly fee?
No. Signing up, listing your services and taking bookings are free. Sikakoraa takes 10% of a payment when it is paid out to you.
Does the customer pay extra on top of my price?
No. The customer pays your listed price. The 10% comes out of your payout.
How do customers pay?
When you accept a booking, the customer pays a deposit by M-Pesa or Visa/Mastercard through Sikakoraa. IntaSend processes the payment. The customer pays you the balance directly after the job.
When do I get paid?
Once a day. Every job confirmed done is paid out automatically in one transfer to your M-Pesa or bank account: the deposits, less our fee. There is nothing to withdraw. IntaSend's transfer fee for that one transfer comes out of the payout, so you pay it once a day, not once per job. If the day's total is under Ksh 100, it waits for the next day. After you add or change your payout account, payouts wait 48 hours so nobody can redirect your money. The balance is paid to you by the customer.
Is there a limit on how much I can earn?
No. The fee stays at 10% however many bookings you take.
Will the fee go up?
The rate is 10%. The first 100 verified providers pay 5% for their first 6 months, then 10%. We will tell you before any change.
